The Dome Home in Big Bear is located at 160 Yosemite Drive in the upper Moonridge area of Big Bear Lake. Moonridge, which also leads to the Bear Mountain ski resort, is off Big Bear Boulevard, the main highway in the lake area.

Big Bear Lake is a popular weekend getaway from Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and San Diego counties, as well as Palm Springs and Las Vegas.

Fast or Faster

You can get to Big Bear easily by car or airplane.

By PlaneBig Bear has a small municipal airport but no commercial flights. Charter flights are available to and from Big Bear at a variety of prices, depending on whether you choose to fly in a 4-seat Cessna Skyhawk, a Bell helicopter or a Cessan Citation jet. Charter flight info and price quotes are available through CharterHub.com. The Big Bear Airport is located at the east end of the lake, less than 10 minutes from the Dome Home.

From Los Angeles
  1. Interstate 10 East to Highway 30 North
  2. Follow Highway 30
  3. Exit onto Highway 330 North through Running Springs to Highway 18.
  4. Highway 18 East into Big Bear Lake.
  5. Turn right across the Big Bear Lake dam.
  6. Head east on Big Bear Blvd.
Alternative route from Interstate 10
  1. Interstate 10 East to Orange Street (Highway 38)
  2. Exit in Redlands.
  3. Follow Highway 38 North to Big Bear.
From the San Fernando Valley area
  1. Take the 101 East to the 134 East to the 210 East to Interstate 10 East
  2. Follow above directions from Los Angeles.
From Orange County or the South Bay area
  1. Take the 91 East (or the 55 North to the 91 East) to the 215 North to Interstate 10 East
  2. Follow above directions.
From San Diego County
  1. Interstate 15 North to the 215 North to Interstate 10 East
  2. Follow above directions.
From Palm Springs
  1. Take Interstate 10 West to Yucaipa.
  2. Take the County Line Road off ramp.
  3. Turn right. Follow County Line Road to Bryant St.
  4. Turn Left. Follow Bryant St. to Highway 38.
  5. Turn right onto Highway 38. This will take you right into Big Bear.
  6. Turn Left on Hwy 38 that will lead you to Big Bear City
  7. You will pass Big Bear Airport
  8. Right after you pass Vons
  9. Turn Left on Moonridge
  10. Go about a mile.
  11. At the Golf course (which will appear as a vast open white space in winter), Moonridge swirves to the right. Stay on Moonridge and Make Left on Sheephorn.
  12. Right on Colusa
  13. Right on Canyon Crest
  14. Left on Yosemite.
From the High Desert
  1. Interstate 15 to Victorville
  2. Exit at Bear Valley Road
  3. East to Lucerne Valley
  4. Turn Right on Highway 18.
  5. You will pass Big Bear Airport
  6. Right after you pass Vons
  7. Turn Left on Moonridge
  8. Go about a mile.
  9. At the Golf course (which will appear as a vast open white space in winter) Moonridge swirves to the right. Stay on Moonridge and Make Left on Sheephorn.
  10. Right on Colusa
  11. Right on Canyon Crest
  12. Left on Yosemite.
From Las Vegas
  1. Interstate 15 South to Barstow
  2. Take the 247-Big Bear exit to Lucerne Valley.
  3. Go past two stop signs and turn left onto Hwy 18
  4. Follow Hwy 18 up the mountain approximately 6 miles to Stanfield Cutoff.
  5. Turn left, drive across the lake.
  6. Turn right at the stop sign
  7. Follow Big Bear Blvd.
  8. Right after you pass Vons
  9. Turn Left on Moonridge
  10. Go about a mile.
  11. At the Golf course (which will appear as a vast open white space in winter) Moonridge swirves to the right. Stay on Moonridge and Make Left on Sheephorn.
  12. Right on Colusa
  13. Right on Canyon Crest
